Early Adolescence through Adolescence - English Education
The Early Adolescence through Adolescence (EA-A) Program in English Education is available for students who plan to teach English to children from age 10 to age 21, in 6th through 12th grade. English Education students gain real world experience in the classroom through student teaching at area schools. Students who satisfactorily complete the program requirements also meet the Wisconsin teacher certification requirements for teaching English subject areas in those grades.
Undergraduate Degree OfferedBachelor's degree leading to licensure.
Post-Baccalaureate CertificationStudents who already have a bachelor's degree and are interested in becoming licensed teachers in the state of Wisconsin may earn post-baccalaureate teacher certification in English education.
Additional LicensureStudents at this level of certification may add the following licenses while pursuing or after obtaining their English licensure as their initial certification:
