The Department of Educational Policy and Community Studies admits its own undergraduate majors. Stop by the Department in Enderis 557 to pick up an application packet or call (414) 229-4323, and we will mail one to you.
2) How do I apply to Cultural Foundations of Education?Admissions for graduate students are handled by the Graduate School in room 261 Mitchell Hall. You can pick up a packet there or request a packet by calling (414) 229-4982. You can also pick up an application packet from the Department of Educational Policy and Community Studies in Enderis 557 or call (414) 229-4323, and we will mail one to you.
3) What can I do with a Community Education Degree?Graduates of Community Education occupy leadership positions in social service agencies. They work for the state, county, and city governments, as well as a wide variety of community based organizations. Although the undergraduate degree does not certify people to teach, some graduates get provisional license to teach in local school districts.
4) What can I do with a degree in Cultural Foundations of Education?About half the graduates of Cultural Foundations work in school districts, either as teachers, counselors, or administrators. Others work for the non-profit sector in a wide variety of human service agencies.
