Support for Your Professional Development Plan (PDP)
Wallace_Leigh_091509_web Who should attend? ALL EDUCATORS!  New and experienced teachers (of all disciplines and levels), current UWM student teachers and those student teaching in the fall,  administrators/principals/superintendents/directors of instruction, directors of special education & pupil services, and higher education faculty and staff.

Why should you attend? Educators must focus on change that emphasizes social justice and equity for all students.  We must continuously address and eliminate any type of marginalization in schools and recognize “social justice cannot be a reality in school where students with disabilities are segregated or pulled out from the regular classroom, or receive separate curriculum and instruction” (Theoharis, 2007, p. 222).  Professional educators, teacher and administrator candidates, as well as faculty members, must also approach their work with this in mind.  This professional development program is designed to challenge your thinking and
Leigh Wallace, Ph.D.         ultimately improve educational outcomes for all students.
