Angel Hessel is director of student teachers in the Middle Childhood through Early Adolescence Program. She also teaches an introduction to teaching course. Her interests include issues that surround educators in urban schools, specifically how race, class and culture prevent students from having equitable school experiences.

Hessel received her B.A. from Marquette University and her M.S. in administrative leadership and supervision in education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
