René Antrop-GonzálezAssociate Professor

René Antrop-González, who teaches bilingual education courses, has experience teaching English as a second language (ESL) at the elementary, high school and college levels in Puerto Rico. His research interests include language imposition/hegemony, colonialism, Puerto Rican/Latina(o) education issues, critical literacy, critical pedagogy and phenomenology.

Antrop-González received his M.Ed. in teaching of English as a second language at the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico and his Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis in bilingual education from the Pennsylvania State University.
