Jennifer Mueller

Jennifer Mueller teaches courses in early childhood teacher education and supervises student teachers. Her research interests include teacher education policy, pedagogy, programming, curriculum and practice related to preparation of teachers for equitable teaching practice in urban, multicultural and diverse settings. Her most recent writing focuses on how identity (marked by race, social-class, gender, sexual orientation, religious, etc. positionings and subjectivities) frames and influences the ways that teacher education students engage with and take up multicultural teacher preparation.
Dr. Mueller earned her B.S. in elementary education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and was a practicing classroom teacher for several years. She completed her M.A. in Educational Foundations and Policy and her Ph.D. in Teacher Education at the University of Michigan.
