MPS Student & Family Partnerships

These programs administered by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Education directly serve Milwaukee Public School students and their families.

Celebration of Art - exhibiting the artwork of MPS and suburban school district students to recognize the importance of art in a complete education

GEAR UP - increasing the number of low-income students who are prepared to enter and succeed in postsecondary education.

Youth Enterprise Academy - providing skills to students that will lead them to economic success, including tips on preparing for college and principles of personal investing, including spending, saving, credit and various forms of investing.

Youth Enterprise Investment Clubs - providing funds for select students to use for post-secondary education through investments that the club administers.

Young Educators' Society (YES) - helping middle and high school students learn more about becoming educators through a day long conference with UWM student teachers and UWM and MPS educators.
