Programs
The following programs and initiatives provide professional development opportunities for educators and are a result of the collaborative efforts between the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Education and Milwaukee Public Schools.
Mathematics or Science Cohorts in MS Degree Program in Curriculum and Instruction
The program consists of a cohort of MPS teachers who want to pursue a master's degree at UWM. The curriculum is formulated to meet the needs of MPS. The cohort format is conducive to healthy rapport and ongoing collaboration within the group.

Milwaukee Telecommunications Project
With support from UWM's Center for Mathematics and Science Education Research, science, mathematics and social studies teachers develop their abilities to use telecommunications for professional development, curriculum development and classroom instruction. Teachers learn effective uses of the Internet as a tool to support instruction and educational reform.
