Minority Teacher Forgivable Loan Program

Coordinated by the Wisconsin Higher Educational Aids Board, this loan program is offered to minority (African American, American Indian, Hispanic, Laotian, Cambodian, or Vietnamese) teacher education students who meet the qualifications set forth by the Board. Eligible borrowers may receive up to $2,500 a year (not to exceed a total of $5,000). Loans are forgiven at a rate of 25 percent for each year of teaching after certification.
