The Education Resource Center's primary purpose is to prepare students for the Praxis exams. The Center offers computer assistance, workshops, and tutoring for students. There is no fee for this service and you need not be a current UWM student to use the ERC.

Praxis I & Praxis II Study Books Loan
Our office no longer have the Praxis books available for one-month loans.
You may now check out Praxis study books at the UWM Curriculum Library, located in the UWM Golda Meir Library. You must be a current UWM student in good standing with a valid UWM Identification Card.
The books are now 7-day reserve items.
You may utilize the Praxis I & Praxis II Study Books only in our office during our office hours. You may not check out the book nor leave with the book outside the ERC.

You can practice for the Praxis I Math and Praxis I Reading exam sections via computer online by using the PLATO Computer Simulated Test System.

Important Information Regarding Test Accommodations
Non-native English speakers and individuals with documented disabilities may be eligible for special test-taking accommodations. For more information consult the ETS website.
Test and test centers changes CANNOT be made after registration, therefore you MUST register by the stated deadline. Space and test materials are limited.
To request special accommodations you CANNOT register online. All materials must be submitted together and received by ETS BEFORE the registration deadline. If you need assistance with registration, see your academic advisor or consult with the staff in the Educational Resource Center.

Praxis I Computer-Based Testing Experience: Video
ETS intends to move the Praxis II tests entirely to a computer-delivered format. Tests have been rolled out beginning Fall 2010 and additional tests will be delivered over the next few years. To help candidates understand what will happen when they visit a Prometric Testing Center and begin to test online, ETS has launched an online video that will walk them through their entire computer delivered testing experience.

This report provides data on the number of program completers for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Data regarding past rates on the Praxis exams is also included.

Test Retake Policy — Praxis I & II™ Tests
Computer-Delivered Tests
You may only take each Praxis™ computer-delivered test once every 30 consecutive days, not including the day of your test. If you wish to retest, you must select a test date that is more than 30 days after your previous test date. (Note: if you take the combined PPST test, you cannot take an individual PPST test until after the 30-day period.) This applies even if you canceled your scores on a test taken previously. If you violate this restriction, the scores from your retest will not be reported and your test fees will not be refunded.
Paper-Delivered Tests
ETS does not limit the number of times you can retake a paper-delivered Praxis test; however, some states, associations, and institutions may limit the number of times you can retest. Contact your state or licensing agency to confirm their retest policy.
