Mission


The mission of the SOE Black and Gold Committee: Council on Student Success is to examine nine key goal areas for improvement, as outlined by the UWM Black and Gold Commission; to assess how these goals relate to the UWM School of Education; and to recommend policies, procedures, and programs to the Dean of the UWM School of Education that will achieve these goals.

These Nine Goal Areas Are:
  • Improve student success and satisfaction
  • Develop students into increasingly competent learners
  • Ensure that student/School/University expectations are realistic
  • Increase connections within the School and University community
  • Increase multi-cultural sensitivity
  • Decrease stress and improve health
  • Increase accountability
  • Improve the learning environment
  • Increase accessibility and coordination of services.
