Final Week

May 13, 2013

The Software Asset Management Office will only be open by appointment during the week of Final (5/13/2013 - 5/17/2013).  However, the SoftwareShop will continue to be open and customer can still purchase software.

Microsoft Office 2013 Work-At-Home is not available                                               February 19, 2013

Microsoft Office 2013 Work-At-Home is not available at the SoftwareShop at this time.  Microsoft have not set a release date for the software yet.  We will put a notification here when we have receive the Work-At-Home.

The Software Asset Management Office will be closed on Monday, December 31 through January 1. The SoftwareShop will still be open.  However, any software with the delivery option for rush pick up, campus mail or off campus mail during that time will have the order processed and completed on Wednesday, December 26, 2012.

Windows 8 Pro 64bit Work-At-Home  (Upgrade only)

Windows 8 Pro 64bit Work-At-Home (Upgrade only) is now available at the SoftwareShop for Faculty and Staff of UW-Milwaukee.

Windows 8 will be available soon!

Windows 8 Work-at-Home (upgrade) for UWM employee home use should be available at the SoftwareShop on December 17, 2012.

Software Office closed during break                             

November 21, 2012

The Software Asset Management Office will be closed on Thursday, November 22 through November 25. Any Software with the delivery option for rush pick up during that time will have to pick up the media on Monday, November 26, 2012.

SPSS 21 and Amos 21 are now out!

SPSS 21 and Amos 21 are now available at the SoftwareShop.  

UWM Data Center Network Cutover:       Aug. 10 -12, 2012            License Servers Unavailable during Cutover Windows

The license servers housed in the UWM Data Center will be unavailable while work is being done to cut over to new network equipment during the following timeframe:

Saturday, Aug. 11 from 6 p.m.–Sunday, Aug. 12 at noon

These time frames may be extended if problems are encountered.

During the above windows, the following applications will be unavailable:

JAWS – Freedom Scientific

Kurzweil

Lasergene

Mathematic

Maple

Maya

Minitab

NOTE:Customers will not be able to activate NEW Microsoft installations during this maintenance window, but existing installations of Microsoft software requiring KMS activation will continue to function during the maintenance.
