UWM Libraries The UWM Libraries support the mission of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee as a public research university in its unique urban mission and program emphasis. The Libraries are a critical component of the academic life of the University, and the user-centered facility, array of resources and knowledgeable staff contribute to students' development of information gathering and critical thinking skills, thereby preparing them for lifelong learning.


MARQUETTE UNIVERSITY LIBRARIES

The John P. Raynor, S.J. Library, opened in August 2003, deploys the latest technology and is organized around user services.  A knowledgeable, multidisciplinary team is prepared to assist users in locating, evaluating, manipulating, and presenting information in any format--from manuscripts to digital texts, from archival documents to remote resources.

The Institute of Museum and Library Services, an independent Federal grant-making agency dedicated to creating and sustaining a nation of learners by helping libraries and museums serve their communities, supports the Diversity in the Organization of Information and its Technology (DOIT) Project.
