All SOIS students are invited to participate in the Student Research Poster Day to showcase their work in a professional forum. To do so, please submit a research proposal about a recently completed project or ongoing study in which you have made significant progress.

Dr. Nadine Kozak joins UW-Milwaukee, SOIS as an Assistant Professor beginning the fall semester of 2012. Dr. Kozak’s research explores government projects and public-private partnerships created with the intent to expand broadband services to unserved and underserved communities, and analyzes how these projects are adopted in rural areas by a variety of organizations and residents.

A meeting of practitioners, scholars and aspirants in the field of library and information studies to explore feminism as theory, boundary, ecology, method,flavor, relationship, and epistemology -- among others. Unconference will include an unposter session for those currently developing research projects. Cost is $25. Support provided by the Center for Information Policy Research at the School of Information Studies, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
