- Dr. Rafeal Capurro has joined the School of Information Studies (SOIS) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) as Distinguished Researcher in the area of Information Ethics and will take up his post in Spring 2010. As founder and director of the International Center for Information Ethics, Dr. Capurro is world-renowned for his work in ethics and information policy.

- On Tuesday, June 1st, 2010, Dr. Gwat-Yong Lie commenced her responsibilities as Interim Associate Dean of the School of Information Studies (SOIS) at UW-Milwaukee. Dr. Lie was appointed Interim Associate Dean after Dr. Hope A. Olson took over as Interim Dean of the School of Information Studies in early May.
