Whether you are an undergraduate student looking for resources for an English term paper, a parent looking for free activities for your children, or a bibliophile searching for your next favorite book, you belong @ your library.

Today’s libraries help level the playing field by making both print and digital information affordable, available and accessible to all people. Libraries provide cultural heritage and genealogical collections, materials in print and electronic formats, job seeking resources, and many other countless resourceful programs.

Libraries have historically served as our nation’s great equalizers of knowledge. The strength of libraries has always been the diversity of their collections and commitment to serving all people. At the foundation of these strengths are the librarians, support staff, and directors who work diligently to provide these diverse collections and services

Since its founding, SOIS has excelled at educating future librarians to be the leaders of tomorrow. SOIS continues this commitment to the profession with our newly launched Public Library Leadership Concentration. The Public Library Leadership Concentration prepares MLIS graduates to positively engage with the range of opportunities facing the post-modern public library: extended community involvement, incorporation of emerging technologies, and pro-active advocacy for service populations.
