BioBonnie Withers, a Wisconsin native, graduated from UW-Madison with a BA degree in French. Later, she earned an MA degree in French from Michigan State University. She went “back to school” three more times—once for certification as a French teacher, then for a reading license, and finally to UW-Milwaukee for the MLIS degree. She has taught French at all levels, 4-year-olds to adults, and has also worked as assistant curator at a small art museum. Bonnie worked for Milwaukee Public Schools for 15 years, first as an elementary French teacher complete with cart and guitar, then as a library media specialist. Bonnie has found her half-time academic teaching staff position with SOIS, now in the ninth year, to be the best job of her career. In her free time, Bonnie can usually be found with her nose in a book. A special treat would be a well-written Victorian Gothic novel.
