Heidi earned her BA and MBA from UW-Milwaukee. She is a national Certified Research Administrator (CRA) who has received numerous awards and recognition for her work at UWM and beyond.
As an experienced university administrator, Heidi has significant experiences in handling complex financial and grant work. Her concurrent positions include:
Interim Assistant Dean for Business Affairs

In these positions she provides leadership in the planning and implementation of financial and budgetary strategies in support of the mission of the School/College. Areas of responsibility include oversight of business operations, development of annual budgets, strategic financial planning, oversight of research budgets and contracts, general administration and supervision of business office personnel in the school/college. The position title is also known as UBR (Unit Business Representative).
Director Research Support and Development
School of Social Welfare (5%)
Having established and now directing the Research Support and Development Unit of the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare she have been involved in all aspects of research support and has overseen and advised centers on financial and contractual issues. Also, as part of a team at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, she has advised other UWM units on best practices regarding commercialization and internal infrastructure of research centers.
President of the Board
Friends of Hoyt Park and Pool, Inc. (Volunteer)
One of six founding members and current board president of this non-profit 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. Active member in having negotiated and raised $7.8 million dollars to cover the excavation of the old pool, engineering studies, design and building of the pool, extensive renovation of the existing bath house, infrastructure upgrades and a $1,000,000 operations endowment. This private/public venture in a Milwaukee County Park, with an annual budget over one million dollars, opened in May 2011. It is a multiple award winning pool that created approximately 100 new jobs. Past positions in the organization included vice president, first treasurer, Chair of the Personnel committee, member of the Finance, Audit, Board Development and operations committees.
