Jessica comes from an academic library background with experience in reference, instruction, digital collections, access services and management. She has research interests in common reading initiatives; the effects of e-books in the library; and the importance of networking and participation in professional organizations in the fields of Library Information Science, Academic Advising, and Online Higher Education.
Jessica is very active in the Wisconsin Library Association, and is currently serving as a member of the WLA Board of Directors, Chair of the WLA Support Staff Section, and is serving on several planning committees and task forces. In her spare time, Jessica loves to travel, scrapbook, research genealogy, and spend time with her two Shiba Inu dogs.
