The SOIS Student Organizations (SO) were established to improve communication between students, faculty, and the alumni. These are duly authorized organizations registered with the Office of the Dean of Students and administered by an executive committee of students with School advisors.

ALA Student Chapter

The American Library Association and the SOIS have established an ALA Student Chapter. The ALA Student Chapter is currently apart of the Masters Student Organization. For more information about the chapter please contact the President of the Masters Student Organization.

SAA Student Chapter

The Society of American Archivist Student Chapter.

ASIST Wisconsin Chapter

The American Society for Information Science and Technology sponsors a Wisconsin Chapter. The chapter sponsors lectures and discussions for area professionals and students.
