EXPLORE MILWAUKEE AND BEYOND
"Word of mouth is nothing compared to the actual experience of going out into Milwaukee and the surrounding areas of UWM. If you never get around to meeting the people around you and seeing the places, locations, scenery, etc., you will never know the beauty of your surroundings and enjoy what can be a wonderful place that may become your oasis." - James Newton III
Get to know your diverse neighbors,
community and city: UWM lies at the center of a lively mix of neighborhoods on Milwaukee’s East Side, each with its own personality. Our home is blocks from Lake Michigan and minutes, by bus, from Downtown. The neighborhood is home to many faculty, staff and students. Knowing your neighbors provides a safer community, one where people look out for each other.
Connect with the community. Helpful Milwaukee resources: [http://www4.uwm.edu/univ_rel/neighborhood_rel/resources.cfm]
