"I always found it helpful to attend events on campus. What better way to meet new people, learn something, and take away some cool free stuff?!" - Iesha Barbee
Attend campus events
There’s something awesome happening every day at UWM, whether hosted by an academic department, resource center or student organization. Most of these events are FREE for students and offer you an opportunity to listen to great speakers, dance to amazing music, see beautiful art, get free food and, most importantly, spend time with friends while meeting new ones!
• Use the UWM website’s Events Calendar to see what’s going on around campus: http://www4.uwm.edu/news/calendar/
• Check out the website of your academic department to see if there are any events, activities or workshops being offered.
• Connect with your Resident Advisor or COAST Leader and attend events hosted by University Housing (http://www4.uwm.edu/housing/reslife/events.cfm) if you live on-campus or Neighborhood Housing (http://www.aux.uwm.edu/nho/pages/home/upcoming-events.php) if you live off-campus.• Hang out in the UWM Union, your one-stop shop for speakers, films, workshops, recreation, arts and craft, concerts, art exhibits and much more!
