Take the MAP-Works Survey [www.uwm.map-works.com]
Transitioning to college can be a big adjustment. Taking the MAP-Works (Making Achievement Possible) surveys can help you understand your transition and take control of your college career. It also allows UWM faculty and staff to contact you in your areas of strength and challenge so we can provide leadership opportunities and support specific to you.
• Watch for email reminders to take two MAP-Works surveys each semester. This will help you gauge your academic and social transition to UWM. You can even take the survey on Facebook (link to (https://apps.facebook.com/mapworks/?ref=ts), your iPhone or Android smartphone or iPad.• Print out your personalized report! This report lets you know how you compare to your peers, what areas you are doing well in and where you can improve. Students who print out their personalized report have a .4 higher GPA than students who do not. You can print your report for free in the Student Success Center (Bolton 120).
• Schedule individual appointments to discuss your results. Individual appointments allow you to create goals to get the most out of your college career. Appointments can be made by contacting Keri Duce at klduce@uwm.edu or 414-229-5385.
