UWM Outstanding Nontraditional Student Awards
What are the Outstanding Nontraditional Student Awards? Outstanding Nontraditional Student Award Recipients are selected based on nominations from the UWM faculty and staff. Honorees must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a student at UWM during the 2012-2013 academic year
- Must demonstrate strong academic performance
-
Must be a nontraditional student
Some characteristics of a nontraditional student may include (but are not limited to):
- Delaying enrollment or taking a break from college
- Working full time while enrolled in school
- Considered financially independent
- Student-parent (or has other dependents)
- Active Military or Military Veteran
