4 New Freshmen

The Student Support Services Program (SSS) is funded by the U.S. Department of Education to provide academic support services for eligible students at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. This program is part of the family of TRIO programs which also includes Upward Bound,Talent Search and McNair.

Services provided include academic advising and planning, registration assistance, campus resource referral, financial aid counseling and referral, career counseling, free access to the computer lab in Mitchell 133, supplemental grant aid, free laptop loan and summer bridge for new freshmen.

SSS staff work with undergraduate students for their first 40 - 60 credits to ensure that they are academically prepared to transfer to the UWM school or college from which they intend to receive their degree. Enrollment in SSS is limited to 250 students per year.
