Consider Stepping Forward if you would like to start an exercise program, are concerned about your weight and health, and are looking for a sound, supportive way to make nutrition, exercise, and health changes in a supportive way.
Stepping forward is a 6-week wellness & exercise program that was developed and offered by highly qualified health and fitness professionals from UWM’s Norris Health Center, College of Health Sciences, and University Recreation.
Who is this program for?
Stepping forward is for UWM Students* seeking healthy weight loss. This program is geared towards students that may be concerned about their health. If you are already participating in a regular exercise program, we have alternative resources available for you.
*Must be a UWM Student paying the mandatory tuition fees
What is included in the program?
·A free one-on-one consultation with a registered dietitian/a personalized nutrition plan
·Free small-group fitness training sessions with a personal trainer
·Tools for positive behavior change
·A weekly low-impact fitness class
·Many other great resources to help you being and maintain a healthy lifestyle
This program will help you create a practical, personalized action plan to optimize fitness, health, and weight loss you can continue all year long!
