For over ten years, The Adult Student Alliance at UWM has been welcoming full or part-time students to its organization. We are either first time or returning students whose common attribute is having spent time away from school. We now attend UWM to continue working towards degrees, to embark on new professions or to further our present careers.
Our organization provides the opportunity for older students to share experiences and ideas, made particularly interesting by our various backgrounds. Our members are of mixed marital status-married, divorced, never married. We help each other with schoolwork and university red tape. We are proud to say we share a strong feeling of camaraderie and moral support.
The Adult Student Alliance also offers it's members: social events, involvement in campus affairs, community advocacy and information on professors and courses. We have an office to meet in, a coffee pot and microwave, and many parties throughout the school year. Come and join The Adult Student Alliance in Union E396 - make new friends and get more out of school.
