Meeting Minutes
The Meeting
Started at 7:00pm
- The
meeting opened with introductions from new and
old members. We had a total of seven new
members.

Agenda:
- The First
topic on the Agenda was the Human Powered
Vehicle competition in Philadelphia next month,
Lance explained why:
-
Unfortunately we would not be able to
participate in this year’s competition
because; we could not meet the deadline for
our reports submission.
- However
Dallas and Lynn still plan on completing the
new bike this year and running some tests on
it, and request the help of anyone who is
would be willing to give it.
- Next on the
agenda was the upcoming Brewers Vs. Arizona
tailgate party with ASME in both MSOE and
Marquette, three people signed up:
- Tega

- Andy

- it will be
held on Friday the 1st of May
- The game
started at 7:05pm
- Depending
on the number of Members who would like to
attend we could go by MSOE van or carpool
there.
- Tickets
for the game plus food and drinks should be
around $20
- The third
topic on the Agenda was Company tours that we
have coming up:
- Jesse Kuda
Arranged for a hard hat tour of Harley
Davidson sometime late April and a sign up
sheet was sent round, the following members
sign up:

- Craig
Planton
- Mike
Sorensen
- Andy

- Lynn
Koepke also talked about a possible tour of
Milwaukee tool.
- On April 16th
MSOE will be hosting the Student Professional
Development Conference for District C of ASME.
There Are Different competitions, and the
conference runs from April 16th -18th.
- The next item
was the Financial Standing of the club,
currently we have:
- $1200.00
From Brat Sales, we will only have two this
semester.
- $3250.00
from Grants received from the school for
work on the bike
-
$2800.00 of which will be appropriated
for buying Carbon Fiber for the Bikes
Fairing.
- Past President
Dallas Reinert spoke about the Leadership
Training Conference (L.T.C.) held in Los Angeles
for the fourth year. The conference was mainly
about:
- Teaching
new and current officers of ASME what is
required of them as Officers.
- And also
emphasizing the numbers of resources members
have particulary via the Societies website
www.ASME.org.
- He also
address that to register nationally for ASME
as a first time student member is free for
the first year once you sign up as a
freshman.
- Lance Closed
the meeting with a note about sending future
emails about upcoming company tours.
