GIS Career Tips from a Pro

Danielle Lee, a GIS specialist at Advanced Engineering and Environmental Science in Madison will tell the GIS club "...everything I wish I had heard...before I was a working professionl." Members and non-members alike are welcome to learn how to land a career in GIS. We're meeting in the School of Architecture and Urban Planning building, Room 183, on Monday, April 27th, at 5:30 PM.

UW-Madison Geospatial Summit

Dr. David Cowen, Carolina Distinguished Professor Emeritus and former chair of the National Geospatial Advisory Committee (NGAC) will be one of two keynote speakers at this year's free State Cartographer's Office event on Monday, April 20.


Joining the GIS Club

The GIS Club at UWM is open to students, faculty, and staff. Sign-up with your ePanther ID by clicking the green 'Sign in with your campus ID' button at OrgSync. Then 'Browse organizations' to the Gs and look for 'GIS Club'.

There are no dues or prerequisites other than an interest in GIS, participation in club activities, and the willingness to give back a little to the Milwaukee community.
