GIS Career Tips from a Pro

Danielle Lee, a GIS specialist at Advanced Engineering and Environmental Science in Madison will tell the GIS club "...everything I wish I had heard...before I was a working professionl." Members and non-members alike are welcome to learn how to land a career in GIS. We're meeting in the School of Architecture and Urban Planning building, Room 183, on Monday, April 27th, at 5:30 PM.

UW-Madison Geospatial Summit

Dr. David Cowen, Carolina Distinguished Professor Emeritus and former chair of the National Geospatial Advisory Committee (NGAC) will be one of two keynote speakers at this year's free State Cartographer's Office event on Monday, April 20.


Club Technology

The GIS Club owns two Trimble Juno SB professional-grade GPS receivers plus the Trimble software to go with them. Here're some tips for collecting high-accuracy data.

We use these devices to collect data during community projects. In keeping with UWM Student Association rules, they cannot be used for class work.
