Next Club Meeting-Monday, 4/28/14 5:30

Mark your calendars for the next meeting of the GIS Club. We'll continue planning how we can help Feeding America use GIS to aleviate hunger in southeastern Wisconsin. We'll meet in Bolton Hall, Room 293.

Got a favorite pothole?

The GIS Club has started its work on the Milwaukee Pothole Mapping project. Download the free MapplerK (not Mappler-K) app from the Apple app store or from the Google Play store then get the log-in details at the project's web site.

See a pothole and map it with Mappler. It's easy and fun.

Watch here for Milwaukee Pothole Mapping project updates.

Club Technology

The GIS Club owns two Trimble Juno SB professional-grade GPS receivers plus the Trimble software to go with them. Here're some tips for collecting high-accuracy data.

We use these devices to collect data during community projects. In keeping with UWM Student Association rules, they cannot be used for class work.
