About the Fall 2007 Schedule [Top of Page]

The Fall Schedule is determined by the Wisconsin Women's Collegiate Coordinator - Gray Zischke. The Fall Schedule is produced to generate and promote the strongest teams to the Midwest Playoffs.

The purported structure for the Fall League is that five (5) teams compose the Tier I in-state league. These teams are (unofficial rank):

  • Marquette
  • University of Wisconsin (Madison)
  • UW-Milwaukee
  • UW-Stevens Point
  • UW-Eau Claire

Ideally, the strongest two of these five teams will proceed to the Midwest Playoffs, with the strongest team being the State Champion. However, Midwest Pool Play does have some effect on the bearing of this assembly. Two interesting articles on the Midwest Pool Play Structure appeared in the June 20th, 2007 issue of Rugby Magazine - the articles are: Editorial: Defining DII Teams and Opinion: Defining DI & II College Teams (page 65).

As such, the weekend of October 20th has been left open in the schedule to resolve any issues that may arise as the result of a tie or no head-to-head competiton record between Midwest Pool Play Teams and non-participants.
