Mary Anderson

Mary is a senior graduting in December, double majoring in Communication and Journalism and Mass Communication with an emphasis on Strategic Communications. Mary currently has two internships, one with the Waukesha County Park System and another at Bader Rutter & Associates. She has also had an on-campus internship with the UWM School of Education. Mary is excited to attend National Conference in San Diego, and is excited to begin the job hunt!

Random Mary Fact: Mary loves a good fall day and a Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks.

Erin Tomlin

Erin is a senior double majoring in Psychology and Journalism and Mass Communication with an emphasis on Strategic Communications.  She has past internship experience as an Event Planning Intern at the Keep Wisconsin Warm Fund and is currently volunteering with Historic Milwaukee, Inc. as a part of the Marketing team.  Erin hopes to increase member involvement and get them excited about doin' it in public!

Random Erin Fact: Erin is the proud owner of over 150 pairs of shoes.

Director of Event Planning

Alyssa Hintzen

Alyssa is a senior and will (hopefully!) be graduating May 2010 with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications, with an emphasis on Strategic Communications. She is currently an employee communications intern for the American Cancer Society. This is her fourth semester with PRSSA and second semester on the executive board. Alyssa hopes to help increase member participation through new and exciting events, meetings and agency tours. Alyssa also hopes to raise awareness of PRSSA for new JMC students, locally and regionally. Alyssa is looking forward the National Conference in San Diego in November.

Random Alyssa Fact: Alyssa has an outrageous addiction to Caribou Coffee and spends way too much money on it.

Director of Internal Communications

Lindsey Mauer

Lindsey is a senior double majoring in Journalism and Media Communication and Communication. She will be graduating in December 2009. Lindsey has had internships with Clear Channel Communications as a Morning Show/Promotions Intern for FM 106.1 and with Children’s Hospital and Health System Foundation as a Special Events Intern. This spring Lindsey hopes to encourage PRSSA members to participate in chapter activities by keeping them well informed through the Buzz, Facebook and Twitter.

Random Fact: Lindsey has creepy double-jointed elbows.

Noah Kamsler

Noah is a senior graduating in May 2010 with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication with an emphasis in Strategic Communication and a minor in History. Noah is the publicity and marketing director for Restless Leg Productionsa and Operation Adaptation, LLC. This is Noah's second semester on the PRSSA Executive board and he strongly encourages everyone interested in any aspect of communications to join, and get an inside look into the world of public relations.

Random Fact: Noah grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan and is a die-hard Michigan/Detroit everything fan...and yes that includes the Lions.

Ken Ryan

Ken Ryan is a senior at UWM and will be graduating in May 2010. Ken is majoring in Journalism and Mass Communication with an emphasis in Strategic Communication and a minor in Communication. Ken has held past internships with the Milwaukee Brewers and UWM Alumni Association along with a current position at Zizzo Group Advertising + PR. He looks forward to increasing the camaradie of PRSSA as well as preparing for the National Conference in San Diego.

Random Fact: Has never eaten a fast food hamburger or at Taco Bell.

Faculty Advisor

Becky Crowder

Becky Crowder worked for a variety of advertising and public relations organizations for more than 18 years before joining the faculty at UWM. Her most recent position was as public relations director for Meyer & Wallis Advertising in Milwaukee. During her career, Crowder has won numerous trade association awards in both advertising and public relations. Her teaching focuses on introductory and advanced skills courses in both disciplines. She also serves on many professional and community committees.
