Energy working group has identified four primary research thrust areas where regional strength and member interest exist:

  • Technology for Carbon Management And Energy Conservation
  • Alternative Energy Technology
  • Sensors and Energy Conversion Devices & Processes

In recent meetings with industry, numerous other areas such as power systems, energy system automation, and optimized energy delivery have been raised as potential thrust areas.
