Coverage of UWM WiFi in these buildings extends to most public spaces. This includes coverage in University-assigned lecture halls, classrooms and labs.  However, there is limited connectivity in restrooms and internal stairwells, and no connectivity in external stairwells and mechanical rooms.

Wireless Internet Options

PROWLnet is the wireless service in public spaces such as hallways, and lounge areas throughout the rest of campus.  UWM WiFi, as a service on campus, consists of the four wireless networks UWMWiFi, eduroam, Public and UWMSponsored.  PROWLnet is not a secure network, and it has only been installed as a "HotSpot" service in common university areas for the purpose of student convenience.   We strongly advise that University Business be conducted via secure network connections to avoid violations of HIPAA, FERPA, etc.  Currently, the secure connection options on campus are: (1) a hard-wired network data port or (2) the UWMWiFi and eduroam options of the UWM WiFi Service.
