College of Letters and Science

Applied Mathematics and Computer Science

The College of Letters and Science cooperates with the College of Engineering and Applied Science to offer a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science (AMCS). The primary objective of this degree is to educate students who are better able to do problem solving in the technical fields that require skills in both analytical math and computer science. The flexibility built into the AMCS degree allows students to acquire these skills in the context of a program designed around their own interests. The program is administered by an advisory committee composed of faculty members from both the College of Letters and Science and the College of Engineering and Applied Science. For additional information, see the Applied Mathematics and Computer Science Degree Program description in the Inter-School/College Programs section of this catalog.
