UITS Student Professional Development
Along with the training and experience gained from working side-by-side with UWM IT professionals, UITS student staff also participate in professional and technical training. The UITS Student Professional Development program provides a variety of opportunities for student staff to develop skills that will benefit them now and as they enter the professional workforce after graduation.
Training methods and topics are diverse and flexible. Student staff are encouraged to attend a wide variety of training classes. Most departments offer specialized technical training relevant to their area and UITS Student Professional Development offers training in professional and interpersonal skills for all UITS student employees.
