Tours generally take two hours. Space is limited. Reservations are required.

We offer tours during our academic year, excluding holidays and final exams. In addition to scheduling a tour, guests have the option to register for a prospective student session with the school/college of their major interest before or after the tour. These are small group sessions, led by an academic advisor, that include a discussion of the school/college majors and admissions criteria. Some may also be in the form of a facility tour. If you are interested in scheduling such an appointment, please keep in mind the following dates/times so your tour date coincides with the correct school/college prospective student session date and time:

Note: Prospective student sessions are recommended only for those students who have decided on their major course of study due to the nature of the information provided. The role of the academic advisor is to explain and discuss academic requirements and help students progress through the major to graduation. As a prospective student, your session provides you an opportunity to learn specifics of your desired major and the school/college that offers the program.

Self-Guided Tours

For those unable to participate in a guided tour, the Self-Guided Tour Packet will provide you with a tour route and great information about UWM. Stop in the Department of Recruitment and Outreach, Vogel Hall, or call 414-229-2222 to receive a packet.

Group Tours

Special tour arrangements can be made for groups. Requests for group tours must be made at least three weeks in advance of the desired visit date. Group size is limited to 50 participants. To arrange a special tour, contact Kate Steinbach at 414-229-6235.
