Walking tours of our campus are led by a trained UWM student guide and include an informational presentation. Tours generally take two hours. Space is limited and reservations are required. Register online or by phone (414) 229-2222.
We offer tours during our academic year, excluding holidays and final exams. In addition to scheduling a tour, guests have the option to register for a prospective student session with the school or college of their major interest before or after the tour. These are small group sessions, led by an academic advisor, that include a discussion of the school/college majors and admissions criteria.
|Saturday (academic year only)
*Please note: On Saturday tours, buildings not part of the scheduled tour may have limited access.
Some may also be in the form of a facility tour. If you are interested in scheduling such an appointment, please keep in mind the following dates and times so your tour date coincides with the correct school or college prospective student session date and time.

Prospective student sessions are recommended for those students who have decided on their major course of study due to the nature of the information provided. The role of the academic advisor is to explain and discuss academic requirements and help students progress through the major to graduation. As a prospective student, your session provides you an opportunity to learn specifics of your desired major and the school or college that offers the program. Transfer students wishing to speak with an advisor should call (414) 229-2222 for more specific information.
For those unable to participate in a guided tour, the Self-Guided Tour Packet will provide you with a tour route and great information about UWM. Stop in the Visitor Center, Vogel Hall, or call (414) 229-2222 to receive a packet.
Special tour arrangements can be made for groups. Requests for group tours must be made at least three weeks in advance of the desired visit date. Group size is limited to 50 participants. To arrange a special tour, contact Kate Steinbach at (414) 229-6235.
