Walking tours of our campus are led by a trained UWM student guide and include an informational presentation. Tours generally take two hours. Space is limited and reservations are required.
To register for a full tour experience and maximize your visit experience, please follow the three steps below:
STEP 1. Select an Academic Information Session to get more information about your intended major.
When scheduling a tour, we recommend starting by selecting an Academic Information Session that will be paired with your campus tour. These sessions are recommended for students who have decided on their major course of study or are exploring potential majors. As a prospective student, your session provides you an opportunity to learn specifics of your desired major and the school or college that offers the program. If you are still exploring major options or unable to attend an Academic Information Session, you do not need to pair an Academic Information Session with your campus tour and can move to step 2.
a. To view the Academic Information Session offerings, please refer to the chart below.

STEP 2. Select your campus tour date
After reviewing the Academic Information sessions, it's time to select your tour date and time. We offer tours twice a day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon, excluding holidays. During the academic year, we offer tours Monday –Saturday and Monday –Friday over the summer.
a. To view a list of days and times tours that are offered, please refer to the chart below.

*Please note: On Saturday tours, buildings not part of the scheduled tour may have limited access.
**Transfer students also have the option of signing up for a Transfer Tuesday Tour, which is specially designed for transfer students.
STEP 3. Register for the campus tour and academic information session
Now that you've picked your Academic Information Session and double checked that it works with your tour time, make sure to officially register you and your guests for both the tour and the academic information session. When registering you will sign up for your campus tour first and then select the academic information session you wish to participate in.
