2004 State WWHEL Outstanding Achhievement Award will lead an informal discussion
about her views and experiences of leadership.
February 14th noon (yes, Valentine's Day) Union 340 Brown Bag discussion
Marcia Clarke-Yapi, Associate Dean
Division of Liberal Arts and Sciences
Milwaukee Area Technical College
Title of Presentation: Revisioning Leadership
Dr. Clarke-Yapi has provided us with several copies of a 8 page article she
would like us to read ahead of time. I will have it placed on ereserve shortly
(we are swamped with requests for class reserves which take precedence) but
paper copies can be picked up in my office in the Library in the meantime.
She writes: The article "Inside Kraft's Leadership Corridor" by Vishwanath and Blenko, re-visions the way we think about leadership and its development. I am particularly fond of the case study method that is used and the representation of a process that honors the importance of context. (Leader to Leader published by Jossey Bass, Fall 2004 issue.)
Looking out further in the semester, the statewide WWHEL organization is once again sponsoring regional all day workshop forcusing on women's leadership.
