Past UWS Campus Projects

The University of Wisconsin System began its partnership with the Carnegie Academy for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (CASTL) in 2003 when it was chosen to be one of twelve national clusters. The office of Professional and Instructional Development (OPID), housed in Madison, Wisconsin provided funding so that each campus in our system could conduct a SoTL project. These projects were then showcased at SoTL conferences sponsored by Carnegie and AAHE. You can view these past UWS campus projects which include training and involving faculty in SoTL work, engaging in student-faculty research partnerships, connecting technology with student learning, investigating how critical thinking can be used to promote student learning, and connecting SoTL to the Scholarship of Engagement, among other projects.
