UWM Faculty Development Program for Online and Blended Learning

The UWM Faculty Development Program for Blended and Online Teaching is designed to assist faculty and instructional staff in redesigning their courses for delivery in a blended or an online format.
The program consists of two face-to-face workshops that are 4 hours each, plus activities which take place online between the two face-to-face sessions.
Participants who register for this event must be available to attend both sessions:
June 2, 2010 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.. -- and -- June 16, 2010 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Some topics include:
- Developing learning modules for blended and online courses
- Assessment strategies for active learning
- Delivering content online
- Using online discussions effectively
- Promoting active learning
- Redesigning large enrollment courses
- Managing your workload and helping support your students
- Evaluating your course
By registering for this event, you are registering for both June dates: June 2, 2010 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.. -- and -- June 16, 2010 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Even though the e-mail confirmation will only have the first date (due to registration system limitations).
