The UWM Faculty Development Program for Blended and Online Teaching is designed to assist faculty and instructional staff in redesigning their courses for delivery in a blended or an online format.
The program consists of two face-to-face workshops that are 4 hours each, plus activities which take place online between the two face-to-face sessions.
Participants who register for this event must be available to attend both sessions:
February 24, 2012 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. --and-- March 9, 2012 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Some topics include:
- Developing learning modules for blended and online courses
- Assessment strategies for active learning
- Delivering content online
- Using online discussions effectively
- Promoting active learning
- Redesigning large enrollment courses
- Managing your workload and helping support your students
- Evaluating your course
IMPORTANT: By registering for this event, you are registering for both dates.: The program will run from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on each day: Friday, February 24 --and-- Friday, March 9. The email confirmation for this program will create only a single PantherLink calendar event (February 24). Therefore, please manually mark your calendar with a reminder to attend the second day of the program on March 9.
