Realigning for Inclusivity: Reframing Diversity at UWM

All faculty, staff, and students are invited to participate in the Inclusive Excellence 2012, a day of strategic planning facilitated by Dr. Ceasar McDowell, Professor of the Practice of Community Development at the MIT Department of Urban Studies and Planning. His presentation on Engage the Power will set the stage for a reflective discussion that will realign and reframe diversity and inclusion at UWM.

Please register for this event and submit your question(s), which will guide the discussions throughout the day resulting in top priorities and actions for UWM. To prepare for this event, questions will be accepted through Friday, February 24, 2012.

A tentative schedule of the strategic planning session is as follows:
8:30 a.m. Continental Breakfast/Registration
9:00 a.m. Welcome
9:30 a.m. Engage the Power & Small Group Work Session
12:00 noon Lunch/Engage the Power Global Perspective
1:00 p.m. Small Group Work Session (ends at 3 p.m.)

This event is followed by the First Friday Reception, honoring Ed Burgess and welcoming the 2012 Diversity Fellows. The reception is hosted by the Peck School of the Arts from 4-6 p.m.
