10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Location: Lubar S250
Presenter: Non-Teaching Academic Staff Review Committee (NTASRC)
The Non-Teaching Academic Staff Review Committee is offering a workshop to help probationary non-teaching academic staff understand their professional rights and responsibilities, and to clarify the procedures and qualifications that appointment to indefinite status entail.
Your supervisor will play a key role in your ability to meet the criteria for appointment to indefinite status. Therefore, you are urged to encourage your supervisor to attend the workshop with you so that he or she will fully understand the responsibilities of both staff member and supervisor.
Indefinite appointment is a unique status offered to academic staff members. It is the culmination of years of service and professional development. But it is not automatic! It is never too early to think about how your current activities will effect your appointment to indefinite status.
