It has long been established that critical reflection is essential for deep learning. However, students often need to be taught how to engage in meaningful reflection. In this session, we will discuss models for critical reflection and the tools that help facilitate it, and engage participants in a hands-on workshop to enhance understanding of the features of critical reflection. Participants will leave with practical strategies for deepening students' critical reflection, both in and out of the classroom, and consider ways in which reflection can have an impact on student learning.
