Heating & Cooling

In Purin Hall and Sandburg North, South, and West, resident room temperatures are set at an average 68 degrees Fahrenheit. If you leave your window open for an extended time you will not be able to recover the heat quickly. Plan on a one day delay to bring the room up to the regular temperature. To gain maximum heating in an individual room, turn the heat knob on the register and clear an air circulation path around the register. Keep furniture clear of the registers and windows and blinds closed.

The windows have been checked for proper weather-stripping insulation. If a draft develops, notify maintenance by means of a work order.

Sandburg East Tower and RiverView residents have an adjustable heating/cooling unit in each room.
