The Role of Partners
A major objective of the project is to build and expand ties among organizations that currently provide educational tools and training programs to informal caregivers. Our partners will serve as a source of caregivers and as a source of expertise as we collaborate to design, implement and test companion educational curriculums for family caregivers and care managers. We will also draw on these partnerships to design and test protocols for the effective delivery of support services.
Our primary partner for this project is the UW-Extension Cooperative Extension Service. Other partners in Wisconsin include:
The Wisconsin Alliance for Family Caregivers
The Wisconsin Alzheimer's Institute (WAI)
The Alzheimer's Association-Wisconsin Chapters
Interfaith-Family Caregiver Support Network
The Wisconsin Bureau of Aging & Long-Term Care Resources.
We hope to expand our project to four additional states over the next year.
