Professor Patrice Petro is part of a small group of scholars that are helping to curate a "Fieldnotes Project" for the Society for Cinema and Media Studies. This is an oral history project, in which "field pioneers" in our discipline are interviewed by prominent scholars, and then we make these interviews available online; to date, the group has interviewed Thomas Elsaesser, Linda Williams, Gertrud Koch, and Janet Staiger. Many more interviews are in the works.
