Panther Professional Development Program
Dear UWM Faculty & Staff Members:

The Panther Professional Development Program (PPD) is seeking workshop and program presenters for Fall 2013. PPD facilitates professional development, skill acquisition, and personal growth for UWM student employees through a series of workshops and programs offered by professional staff. Housed in the Career Development Center, the program offers over 50 programs a year to serve students.

We want you to be involved! Please visit the following link and log in to submit a program proposal for Spring 2014. Deadline 11/18/13:

We welcome submissions from across campus and invite anyone who is invested in student development through student employment to provide a workshop or training. Topics can include (but are not limited to):

  • Diversity (Inclusive Language, Inclusive Spaces, etc.)
  • General Skills (Budgeting, UWM Libraries, Scholarships, etc.)
  • Health and Wellness (Make Good Decisions, Time/Stress Management, etc.)
  • Interests (Advertising, Working with Student Orgs, etc.)
  • Job and Career (Resume Writing, Social Media, etc.) Leadership (Goal Setting, Recognition, etc.)
  • Safety (Active Shooter, CPR, Sexual Assault, etc.)
  • Workplace/Professionalism (Conflict Management, Ethics, Customer Service, etc.)

Presentations typically range from 60-90 minutes, and co-facilitation with students is encouraged. See the PPD Calendar for examples of past and current programs:

To guarantee consideration of your proposal, please submit your proposal by Friday, April 12. Proposals will be reviewed by the Panther Professional Development Advisory Board, and you will be notified if your proposal is accepted in a timely way.
