Technical Requirements

ImageNow 6.x Desktop Client
Workstations requirements for scanning, viewing and linking document objects:
Desktop requirements for WebNow
WebNow is available for users who do not need to scan and link documents in ImageNow. It is web-based and works with the following:
Java Version
Operating System
Browser or higher Windows XP (SP2)
Windows XP (SP3)
Windows Vista
Windows 7
Internet Explorer
Opera or higher Mac OS X 10.7
Mac OS X 10.6
Safari or higher Mac OS X 10.5 Chrome

Note: iPhone, iPad, iPod, or Android-based devices are not officially supported for use by WebNow.

ImageNow and PeopleSoft Browser Requirement
When using ImageNow to interact with PeopleSoft, or another web-based system, Internet Explorer is the only browser supported by UWM at this time.

Apple Mac (client only)
ImageNow does not currently support a native Mac client, however staff have tested and verified that the ImageNow client will work with a parallel operating system (Windows running on Parallels Desktop for Mac or VMware Fusion). We have not tested and cannot verify if the Scanner and scanner software will work with the Mac set-up.

Departments who will use a scanner to get documents into ImageNow must purchase a scanner. ImageNow offers a recommended list recommended scanners. This is only a partial list. Existing UWM projects have had recent success by purchasing from the recommended list. Any scanner purchased will need to work with the ImageNow Capture software and if desired Kofax software. Additionally, each scanner must be connected to a workstation meeting the Windows workstations specifications. There is an additional cost for the CaptureNow license for each scanner purchased.
Client Installations
ImageNow client installation files and instructions are available only to departmental technology staff responsible for the installation and support of software installed on UWM computers. Technical support staff should email for further information and access to the client install files.
