She provides classes, workshops and training on trauma counseling, domestic violence and batterers’ intervention education. She managed the MAGIC Project, where she provided professional development training to teachers in the Milwaukee Public School District, West Allis-West Milwaukee School District, Racine Unified School District and Kenosha Unified School District. She also developed a culturally competent evaluation and assessment tool to help three of the Hmong Mutual Assistance Associations in Wisconsin measure their programs success.

Pa has experience as a victim advocate/case manager for the Judicial Oversight Initiative in Milwaukee County, where she worked with survivors of domestic violence, encouraging them to engage in the criminal process, provided support and assistance in accessing community services, and managed cases throughout the criminal process.

In December 2011, Pa was awarded the “Hmong Woman of the Year” by the Milwaukee Hmong Consortium.

In October 2011, she was recognized by her peers and the Department of Children and Family Domestic Abuse Program for her dedication of more than 10 years working to end violence against women in the Hmong community.

In December 2010, she started the Viv Ncaus: A Hmong Women's Giving Circle at the Women’s Fund of Greater Milwaukee Foundation – dedicated to building a stable funding source that will create a culture where Hmong women and girls have the right to equality, safety, opportunity and self-determination.

In April, 2005 Pa received the UW System Outstanding Women of Color in Education Award from the UW System Women’s Studies Consortium.

In 1999, Pa was recognized by the Governor’s Council on Domestic Abuse for Significant Achievement in Domestic Abuse Issues. Pa was awarded the “DV Diva” by the WCADV for her work in expanding WCADV’s reach to communities of color in September of 2003.
